Hey Mitt, let me tell you about the Anglo Saxon invasions. 

Let me tell you about John and the Magna Carta. (It was one of the basis for the Constitution of your country)

Hey let me tell you about Henry VIII and how he split from Rome and created his own church. 

Let me tell you about how the English defeated the greatest Monarchy in the world at the time - the Spanish Monarchy. 

Let me tell you about the fucking Spanish Armada.

Let me tell you about how the English had a civil war because the King was a fan of absolutism. 

Let me tell you how the English did a Revolution. A Revolution that inspired the American one and the French one. 

Let me tell you about John Locke and how YOUR Constitution mirrors his ideas.

Let me tell you about the puritans. The English puritans who went to the New World. Without them America wouldn’t be the country it is. 

Let me tell you about the abolishment of slavery in England in 1833. In the US Slavery was only abolished in all states in 1865. After a fucking war. The English ended slavery by campaigning in the streets and voting in Parliament. 

Let me tell you about that year and half when Winston Churchill and England fought Hitler alone with raids over London and Coventry because the Americans didn’t want to get involved.

Not bad for a small country, eh?

So fuck you Mitt. Fuck you. Your nation has 200 years. England is about to be 1000. Have some fucking respect. England - and the whole of Europe really - has gone through more than US have. We had wars on our territory, we faced plagues, we faced genocide, we faced economic disaster, not once or twice. Bankrupts have been around Europe since the late 16th century. 

But we faced brilliancy as well. You had Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. We have CERN. We had Da Vinci. We had Camões. We had Cervantes. England had Shakespeare. England had Elizabeth I, the Duke of Wellington, William Wilberforce, Winston Churchill. 

England - as Spain and France and many other countries in Europe - know that Empires are brief and short lived. That glory and praised can quickly turn to hatred. We have learned that. You became the world power and now you’re in decline. Probably China will come. And it will not last. For they never last. Hegemonies…they never last. We have learn that. By blood and sweat and tears. But we’ve learned that. Have you? Think about that when you talk about your fucking origins. Where you fucking come from.

Have some fucking respect. Go read a book. 

^ Yeah fuck you Mitt. Maybe if America actually stepped up sooner in World War II instead of taking it’s sweet time and waiting for it to get personal with Japan we wouldn’t have been so vulnerable.
